This college is very bad for marine studies. The wardens are extremely egoistic, they don’t listen to anyone, and even the senior authorities are corrupt. No one listens to students here. They impose fines for everything. For example, if some student empties a fire extinguisher on our floor, they impose a ₹200 fine per student on two entire floors. They take money for every small thing. We also have to do the STCW course separately, and the accommodation and food expenses for that have to be borne by us—the college does not cover any cost. The hostel facilities are very poor. There isn’t even a proper flush in the washrooms; you have to carry a bucket and mug to flush. There are no jet sprays even for western toilets. Don’t even ask about the food quality—we have literally found insects in the food, and even after complaining, no one addressed the issue. The utensils are also not cleaned properly. So if you are thinking of taking admission in this college, drop the plan and go to some other college if you want to stay away from egoistic staff and wardens, bad food, unnecessary expenses and fines, and extremely poor facilities.
