Electro Technical Officers (ETOs) are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient functioning of all electrical and electronic systems on board a ship, including power generation systems, automation equipment, radio communication systems, and electronic navigation aids. They play a vital role in ensuring the safe and smooth operation of modern vessels. The Electro Technical Officer (ETO) programme is a one-year course designed by industry experts in line with global maritime standards. It includes 4 months of intensive onshore training to build strong technical foundations, followed by 8 months of structured shipboard training to gain practical, hands-on experience at sea.
